1. Acceptance

By using Lockbox ("the App"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. What Lockbox Does

Lockbox is a password manager that encrypts and stores your data on your device. We use AES-256-GCM encryption with PBKDF2 key derivation. Your data is encrypted before it is stored and we cannot access it.

3. Your Responsibilities

• You are responsible for remembering your master password. We cannot recover it.
• You are responsible for keeping your device secure.
• You must not use Lockbox for illegal purposes.

4. Zero-Knowledge Architecture

Lockbox uses zero-knowledge encryption. This means we never have access to your master password, vault contents, or encryption keys. If you lose your master password, your data cannot be recovered by anyone, including us.

5. Pricing

Lockbox offers a free tier (up to 10 items) and a one-time purchase for unlimited items. The one-time purchase is non-recurring. No subscription, no hidden fees.

6. Whisper Sharing

The Whisper feature transmits encrypted data through our relay server. The server stores only encrypted ciphertext and cannot read the content. Whispers self-destruct after being viewed once. We do not log or retain whisper contents.

7. Data and Privacy

The apps collect no personal data and no telemetry. They contact our servers only for Whisper, for cloud sync if you enable it, and for a version check on launch that sends the app version and nothing else. This website uses self-hosted, cookie-free analytics (page views only, no personal data, never on secret pages). See our Privacy Policy for full details.

8. Limitation of Liability

Lockbox is provided "as is" without warranty. We are not liable for data loss resulting from forgotten master passwords, device failure, or misuse. We strongly recommend keeping a secure backup of critical credentials outside the app.

9. Updates

We may update the App and these terms. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated through the App or website.
